BALLINRAN GREEN-LIT FOR DEVELOPMENT FOR DARK SIDE OF THE DON

History Television has given Ballinran the go-ahead to develop a docudrama that reveals the dark secrets of Toronto’s imposing and notorious Don Jail before it is closed for good. Dark Side of the Don is a gripping story that follows archaeologists as they uncover the remains of inmates executed on death row and buried beneath the jails courtyard. CAMERAS ROLL ON SUMMER OF SORROW

Cameras are rolling on Ballinran’s latest docudrama project – Summer of Sorrow – the tragic and all-but-forgotten tale of how the Irish Potato Famine washed upon the shores of North America with catastrophic results in the summer of 1847.

Co-produced with Dublin-based Tile Films, Summer of Sorrow has been commissioned by History Television Canada and RTE Ireland with delivery scheduled for early 2008. BALLINRAN UNVEILS BUSINESS WITHOUT BORDERS

Ballinran has taken the wrappings off its latest multi-media project – Business Without Borders – a documentary series backed by on-line content as well as seminars and events focused on international trade and commerce.

The first episode of the series – New Dawn in the Desert – shines the spotlight on the United Arab Emirates, a market that is developing on over-drive. The 60-minute documentary is currently being screened to business audiences across Canada. Click here for more information.

MANIC ORGANIC GOES GLOBAL

Ballinran’s Food Network series, The Manic Organic, co-produced with Breakthrough Films and Television is now on the air in more than 35 markets around the world. Breakthrough’s distribution arm has sold the show to BBC Food Worldwide for broadcast in Nordic Countries, the Middle East and South Africa, The Living Channel New Zealand and Discovery Home in the United States.
